Healthy Chocolate Granola Recipe

Crunchy and naturally sweetened with honey, this Healthy Chocolate Granola recipe will make you look forward to breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cacao powder

Optional:

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven at 325F.
  • In one bowl, combine the following dry ingredients: oats, chia seeds, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine the coconut oil, honey, and cacao powder. Mix well and then heat in the microwave for about 20 seconds.
  • Add the chocolate mixture to the dry mixture until the oats are evenly coated.
  • Transfer to a parchment paper-lined baking pan.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, stirring halfway (I did mine at 8 minutes). Keep an eye on it as it could get burned.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt and let it cool completely before eating or storing. Mix in the chocolate chips (if using).
